Concealed Carry Class Overview

 

Cost: $90.00    Duration: 8 hours

 

We are a provider able to fulfill your concealed carry training.

Our training is complete in one day and you will not find a more professional, comprehensive choice than Fuquay Gun Training Center. Lectures are held at our privately owned classroom and covered range all on the same property. Courses are taught by currently commissioned, well respected, sworn and active Police Officers. Fuquay Gun Concealed Carry classes will be taught by NRA and NC Justice Academy Certified Instructors, and is accepted by all Sheriff's departments in North Carolina. We supply everything you need for a hassle free class; Firearm, ammo, eye protection and ear protection all at no additional charge. We will provide Smith & Wesson M&P 22 semi automatic handguns. We provide CCI  ammunition for use with our guns during the shooting portion of the class. however, if you'd like to bring your quality, well maintained firearm for qualification please do. Please bring matching ammuntion (ABSOLUTELY NO RELOADED AMMO IS ALLOWED and NO LIVE AMMO IS ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM AREA! 

 

Our classes are very low pressure, and hopefully very enjoyable for all. We are here to help you in any way we can with your training needs./span> Our class size will not exceed 18 students. This will allow us to keep the class moving at a steady pace, and allow more time for Q & A. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a certificate to present to your county Sheriff's Department as well as a North Carolina Concealed Carry Handbook for future reference at no additional charge.

Handgun 101 - Basic Handgun Instruction Class Overview

 

Cost: $110.00    Duration: 7 hours

 

Fuquay Gun Handgun 101 will be taught by NRA and NC Justice Academy Certified Instructors. Highly respected, active and sworn Law enforcement officers will teach most of our courses. Once you have completed the Handgun 101 course, you will have all the knowledge and skill level necessary to purchase, handle, fire, and store handguns confidently and in a safe manor. This is the perfect course for the beginner shooter or just as a refresher course for the seasoned shooter. This class will run approximately 7-8 hours with approximately 4 hours of class time and 2-4 hours of range time all depending on the students pace. Smith & Wesson M&P 22 handguns and ammunition will be provided for all live fire exercises. (ABSOLUTELY NO RELOADED AMMO IS ALLOWED and NO LIVE AMMO IS ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM AREA!)

Personal Protection in the Home (12 person max)

Cost: $140.00 Duration: 8 hours

 

Name : NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course

Short Description : This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of oneself and one's family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.

 

Students should expect to shoot at least 120 rounds of ammunition during this course. 

 

Stages of fire will include but not be limited to shooting from a kneeling position, barricaded position, reloading drills, timed sequences, giving verbal commands, sight deviation drills, quick fire drills, and various firing sequences from 3, 5 and 7 yards.  These distances simulate the normal distances encountered in a violent encounter inside the home.

More Details: This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot at least 120 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course.  

 

While this course can be beneficial for all shooters; a basic knowledge of firearms is a plus.

Urban Rifle Course Description

 

Cost: $120.00 Duration: 8 hours

 

This 8 hour course covers the fundamentals of the AR-15 rifle and its use in an urban environment. Experience with firearms is not mandatory however students should be familiar with their weapons and its operation. Topics will include maintenance, safety, loading, unloading, zeroing, shooting positions, malfunctions clearance, shooting while moving and shooting around barricades. Some physical activity will be required for successful completion of this course.

 Equipment list:

 

Students MUST have the following.

 

- AR-15 style rifle, chambered in 5.56 /.223 and a sling.

- 500 rounds of 5.56 /.223 ammunition (Factory ammunition is recommended).

- Two 30 round rifle magazines (minimum)

- Quality “weapons” lubricant (Break Free, Slip 2000, M-Pro 7, Militec, TW-25B, are good examples)

- Range safety gear to include wrap around eyewear, ear protection and a baseball style hat.

- Range appropriate clothing and footwear. (Long pants and sturdy shoes or boots)

- KNEE PADS

- Positive attitude

 

 

Recommended items:

- Electronic sighting system for rifle  with spare batteries.

- Magazine pouch / carrier for spare rifle magazines

- Rifle cleaning supplies

- Small towel

- Shooting gloves

- Spare parts for carbine (Extractor, extractor springs)

- Water / sports drinks

- Food (energy bars, trail mix)

- Sunscreen

- Bug repellant

- Camera

- First aid items (Band-Aid's and medical tape)

 

 

Items you will need to bring with you to all of Fuquay Guns Classes:

  • Pencil and Pad to write notes and questions.
  • Drinks, snacks, lunch, breaks will be given for lunch, restroom, etc. We do have a refrigerator for you to put items in.
  • Thirst for knowledge  

Liability waiver MUST be signed prior to class beginning. NO OPEN TOE SHOES PLEASE.
